About Kevin Mitchell

Kevin Mitchell began his plumbing career in Quincy, Mass., in 1987. After semesters at Quincy Vocational and Technical School, and summers on the lobster boats in Boston Harbor, he began working with John Hoadley and Sons Plumbing. At this time there were no minicameras in use and Mitchell knew this was where advanced plumbing would go. He and Hoadley secured the Boston contract for video pipeline inspection which included cleanouts with vactor truck services; vacuum testing of manholes; air testing to locate problem areas of sewer and drain construction; joint sealing with chemical grouting; stopping water infiltration in sewer systems; cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining; addressing improper connections that drain into sanitary sewer systems; regular inspections with smoke testing; and dye tracing to pinpoint leak locations. After nine years, Mitchell would purchase his own minicamera and an advanced camera crawler system. His first camera was from Pierpoint.

Mitchell would then go on to create his own business Tunnel Vision. His first contract was with Harvard University where he created a custom mapping of the entire campus and did evaluations on their systems. He was able to tell property management what areas of the vast campus were running smoothly, needed attention, or required immediate repair. He was able to save Harvard a lot of time and money, keeping their systems clean, clear, flowing, and repaired.

Mitchell teamed up with Hennigan Engineering after that, a relationship that lasted 13 years. His work began to focus on the mapping, assessment, and repair of nuclear facilities. Mitchell’s operations included video and mapping of piping systems, water intrusion, foreign matter retrieval, and pipe relining.

In 2021, Mitchell Environmental Solutions was created. Using only the most advanced equipment available on the market, coupled with three decades of experience, Mitchell continues to provide expert services. He now maintains large contracts for industrial complexes, nuclear plants, property management groups, government entities, and hospitals. Saving outfits time and money, Mitchell continues to provide outstanding support across the United Stated and abroad.

About Jeff Crispo

Jeff Crispo graduated Quincy Vocational and Technical school in 1988 with diplomas in both plumbing and welding. He worked Boston Harbor’s fishing and lobster boats until 1996, becoming a captain in 1994. In 1996 he became a member of Local Union 88, Tunnel Workers, the “Sandhogs.”

For the following four years Crispo worked on the Boston Harbor Project, Deer Island, the longest single-shafted tunnel at the time reaching 9.5 miles. The project built a wastewater treatment plant and Crispo was in charge of the fixed track transfer of rock out of the tunnel as a brakeman.

Crispo went on to work for the MetroWest Aqueduct System Drinking Water project in Framingham, Mass., using boring machine cutterheads in the 12-mile tunnel system until 2005. After this, he worked the Fall River Overflow tunnel project, again as a brakeman operating train carts, until he became a general foreman in 2009 for Hub Foundation. There Crispo would focus on the caissons and footings of skyscrapers and bridges in Boston doing geothermal drilling up to 800 feet. He would oversee the entire construction project; managing multiple work crews across different trades; ensuring the project progressed on schedule, within budget, and adhered to safety standards; and managed overall site operations, materials, and workforce allocation.

In 2021, Mitchell Environmental Solutions was created, making Crispo operations manager of the nationwide leader in drain and sewer investigation and repair.
